Drink Wine The Right Way And Stay Slim

Everyone is all about their figure these days. No one wants to gain too much weight because of the side effects it can have on health. Wine has been deemed as a culprit in sabotaging this weight-conscious journey many a time. People have started starving themselves of their favorite drink, just to keep the pounds off – but why? You don’t have to do that. You can drink wine and stay slim; you just need to learn how to do it and that’s exactly what this article is about. • You need to be conscious of the calories that the wine contains. Wine is usually between 130 and 175 calories a glass. Depending on your body’s physiological make up, those calories from the ethanol in alcohol, can be metabolized at different rates. Not all of it is used, so some of it is secreted. • You need to know how much wine is enough. For a man, 3 or more drinks a day and for a woman, 2 or more drinks a day is considered heavy drinking. It is best to drink about half of that to ensure that you maintain moderation. • You need to earn your wine. Try walking to help boost your metabolism before you consider taking a drink. Walking is a decompression and it may help reduce the possibility of overdrinking. • You need to drink after you eat, not before. By drinking wine at least half an hour before a meal, can cause you to have a bigger appetite. Save your wine for during or after your meal instead. • You should try dry red wine. There are more antioxidants in this as compared to other wines. Just remember to check the alcohol level of it and keep it lower than 13.5% ABV. • You should try to drink earlier. Drinking too late at night because wine behaves similarly to carbohydrates in your body. Try to drink at least between 8 and 8:30 in the evening instead – it will also help you sleep better. • You should try to buy a bit more expensive wine. Why? – Because you will more likely cherish it and not throw it down your throat in one go. It will last you a bit longer and so your body will be able to process the calories much better. • You should try to drink away from home. When you’re in the comfort of your home you tend to indulge (and over-indulge) in your wine. Go to a friend’s place or go to a bar to help limit yourself when it comes to drinking.
