The World’s Largest Bottle Of Wine
You’ve probably heard about the oldest bottle of wine in the world or the most expensive bottle of wine in the world, but have you ever heard of the largest bottle of wine in the world? Yes, it’s in the Guinness Book of World Records. It comes from Wang Chen Wines in Liaoning, North China. It’s a new world record that surpasses the previous one – the previous world record holder contained 490-liter bottle, while the current record holder contains 1,850-liters of wine. The previous world record holder was Kracher, Austrian winemakers, whose bottle held Grande Cuvee TBA NV No.7 2005. The new record-setting bottle holds over three times the amount of the previous one. This is what the company had to say about the success: “We are very proud and the wine is very good. We have all had a glass from the bottle to celebrate.” We sure hope they had glasses huge enough to match the bottle! The manufacturers say that the regular wine bottle needs only one hand to hold it, but their magnificent bottle, needs to be held by two people with their arms held wide open. Also, this wine is not just any wine – it is ice wine and it’s a delicacy from the northeast regions of China. The manufacturer explains how it is made: Ice wine needs the grapes to be fully mature, so than the level of the sugar contained in the fruit is enough to make the ice wine. Then the grapes are condensed at a temperature less than 7 degrees Celsius below zero. Then ice wine can be made." How would you like to pour yourself a glass of wine from that bottle?
